You are in love with someone who is burning for the Lord, you are happy that the relationship will be pure. As the relationship gets deeper, you get the shock of you life that both of you already had sex before you knew it.
Here are few reasons why sex is rampant in chirstian courtship:
1) OVERLY CONFIDENT A Christian brother said even if a lady is completely naked before him, he won’t fall for it. Some believers feel so confident in themselves and they throw caution overboard.If you have this mentality, repent before you fall. Your strength will fail you. Don’t be confident in yourself, the word of God says we should flee.
1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
2) NO BOUNDARIES: Many fall into sexual sins because there are no clear boundaries. Too much freedom leads to exploration of each other’s body, which can lead to sex. Loving your partner doesn’t mean they own your body. Until they take the vows, your body remains yours.
3) NOT DECISIVE:
When you have made a decision for sexual purity you have to stand by it. Many later change their mind to have sex, because, they are not decisive. Let your yes be yes and let your no be no.
When you keep doubting yourself if you can still continue in sexual purity, you might definitely fall to it before you realize. There is a vital need to be decisive.
James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
4) LACK OF SELF CONTROL:
“Yes body nor be fire” When you light the fire 🔥 ready to quench am. Having sexual urges is normal. The problem with sexual urges is when you allow it to consume you.
Self control is one of the gifts of the holy spirit, as such, you must relate with the holy spirit for help.
Satan is fighting tooth and nail to make sure believers defile the temple of God. Sexual urge is like “5 minutes madness” when it’s as if you are no longer reasoning with your mind but your waist; the voice of the holy spirit becomes faint while that of satan becomes louder.
Don’t allow the “5 minutes madness” to ruin all you have built all these years. Don’t ALLOW IT TO DEFILE YOUR BODY.
