Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9 -12.
A lot of marriages are having issues today because the partners involved seem to forget about teamwork. There’s this saying, ” if you want to go fast in life, go alone, but if you want to go far in life, go in group. Yes, marriage is a journey and if you want to go far with it you should go with your spouse and work out things together in love.
In marriage, the husband is the head, but if this head is not well seated and balanced on the neck which is the wife, there will be no free movement/ turning of that head. Then, you will be hearing some husbands yelling out their frustration, don’t you know I am the man of this house? For marriages to work properly, there’s need for collaboration and teamwork between the husband and the wife.
Benefits of Teamwork in marriage:
1) Growth, free flow of communication, support in all aspects and respect to one another.
2) Success and fulfillment of purpose.
3) Joy and harmony will be the order of the day.
4) Children right upbringing will be certain because both parents will carry out their duties judiciously.
5) Children on their own will be happy and later become good parents too in the future.
6) Marriages will be free of quarrel, fight, argument and separation/divorce.
7) There will be agreement and oneness in all they do and set to achieve together. Indeed two are better than one. Ecclesiastes 4:9.
8) God the Father, Son and Holy spirit will be chief guests in that home, thereby making the joy in that marriage to last longer.
