When you marry a wife from the Lord, she comes into your life with deposit of generational blessings and thats why Solomon said, she is your portion in life and in your labour on earth. Lets take example of Leah and Rachael. They demanded for their portion before leaving their fathers house to incur generational blessings into their marriage. And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father’s house?Gen. 31:14.
When Jacob married Rachael, there was a generational transfer of blessings. His wives were nation builders because of their bloodline. Whosoever marries them will be able to access a generational transfer of kingly anointing and nation building. Let me give you a good example: Sarah was a sister to Laban the father of Rachel and Leah. And God declared that Sarah shall be a mother of nations.
And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. 16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. Gen. 17: 15-16. The blessings was transferred upon Rebekah, the wife of Isaac.
And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them. Gen. 24: 60. Indeed, Sarah was a nation builder, so were Rebekah, Rachel and Leah. Some years later, when Boaz wanted to marry Ruth a Gentile, who has no connection with Sarah, the elders had to transfer the generational blessings upon her.
All the people who were at the gate and the elders replied, We are witnesses. May the LORD make the woman who is entering your home like Rachel and Leah, both of whom built up the house of Israel! May you prosper in Ephrathah and become famous in Bethlehem. Ruth 4:11. Like Ruth, we were Gentiles and alienated from the commonweal of Israel. But through Jesus Christ, men are now the sons of Abraham and women are the daughters of Sarah.
Husbands who are born again bring into their marriage a deposit of Abrahams Generational blessings. The wives who are likewise born again, bring into the marriage a deposit of Sarahs Generational Blessings. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him. Isaiah 51:2 Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. 1 Peter 3:6.
If you want to maintain the Lords favour in your life and marriage, then live happily with your wife. She is your portion and you cant do without her except if you don’t want to live long and enjoy lasting prosperity with peace of mind.
