√ Protect Your Wife.
The primary responsibility of a good husband is to protect his wife from any danger or harm. If you’re the one that terrorizes your wife instead of protecting her then you have failed in your responsibility in what makes you the man of the house. Protection means physical, emotional and psychological.
You don’t allow people talk down on your wife including your relations. Even if she makes a mistake, don’t go calling your family members and castigating her. Even if you reconcile with her, what you said about her to your family cannot be erased.
√ Lead.
Leadership is very important in marriage because the success or failure of any marriage depends on the leadership of the man. Let me state here very clearly before this particular aspect is being abused because leading doesn’t mean being bossy or be a bully to your own wife.
√ Love Your Wife Unconditionally.
The foundation of every marriage is love and trust. These two components are very important. You cannot claim you love her when you don’t trust her. Emotional trust is very important than verbal trust. You cannot tell her you love and trust her when your actions are showing the opposite.
You must satisfy her emotionally by assuring her that you love, respect, and value her. Not just verbally, but this must also appear in your everyday actions.
√ Be Patient With Her.
Patience is required in molding a bond between couples. You just got married to someone who spent 27years with another family, sharing different ideas from those in your family. There are things that are not sexually transferable and an ideology is one of them.
√ Fulfill Her Needs And Wishes.
One of the fundamental responsibility of every man is meeting the needs of his family. Needs differ, some men think providing food for their homes is all that a wife needs, that’s not true.
Research has shown that emotional needs outclass material needs. Have you ever come across a woman whose husband is not rich yet she glows like someone married to a billionaire?
When a woman is happy in her marriage, it shows in her skin. When a woman is emotionally bruised, give her all the organic creams made in Nigeria, she will not look fine.
√ Treat Her Well.
Words are seeds, don’t plant them because they will surely grow. Be kind with the words you use on your wife, the right words spoken into a woman can transform her into a warrior.
She will go to war with you and help you conquer anything. I learned this while I was staying in an uncompleted building with my Gina. It was difficult to even see her sit around sad sad because I spoke beautiful words into her soul.
Most times she will just sit and smile on her own. Some men are really poor in this aspect. You don’t have money, something as little as kind words, you still do not have.
It is worth mentioning that some women frustrate the efforts of their husband’s and make it difficult for the man to love them.
I want to remind you ma, there is no perfect man out there, every man you see has one challenge or the other. Help the one you have at home overcome his challenges, and stop wishing you married your friends wife.
Gina and I will keep praying for you and we hope that you don’t just do social media love while your wife is weeping every night and wishing she never said yes to you.
