If your parents are dead, and your spouse’s parents are still alive, the wisest thing to do is to adopt them as your parents. Do unto them what you would have done for your parents if they were alive.
Sir, there’s no better sacrifice your in-laws can do than give you a whole human being whom they trained from childhood to adulthood.
The trust and sacrifice are too much to be paid back with denial, starvation or disrespect. You will not appreciate your in-laws until you are giving out your daughter(s) out in marriage.
It’s like giving out your 20 years of labour to a stranger who was never part of your struggles to train your girl. If you sow disrespect to your in-laws, it’s a matter of time, you will reap same from your son-in-laws. Please respect and love your parents in-laws for their sacrifices and for the trust to give their daughter to you.
And to my sisters, if your parents in laws agreed that you should marry their son, it means they have adopted you as their daughter, don’t proof otherwise.

If your parent in-laws are still alive, treat them like your own parents. Don’t wait for your spouse to ask you “when last did you call my parent?” Show your spouse how much you love them by loving their people. If your in-laws are hostile to you, check the way you treat them. See your in-laws as parents in-love, if they don’t love you, they won’t let you marry their son/daughter.
Don’t be like that wicked lady whose husband asked to make suggestion on what they should buy for Mama without telling her which of the Mamas, she suggested some miserable fruits thinking it was meant for her mother-in-law.
As they drove towards her mother’s house she became disappointed at herself for suggesting what she suggested, she pleaded with her husband to let them buy more things since she realized it was her mom her husband was referring to as Mama. What a wicked and selfish wife.
