A relationship between a porcupine and a balloon can only end in disaster.-Anthony T. Hincks. The reason is simple. A balloon is soft. The porcupine can easily burst the balloon with its sharp spines or quills. Some relationships are bound to collapse from day one. Because the people involved are not fit for each other, it is like putting a square peg in a round hole; they are misfits. They are normal and precious human beings, but they cant live together.
There are somethings when you try to blend or put together they remain separated. One example is water and oil. According to Australian Science and Technology Center, when you mix oil and water together they still separate. The oil always floats to the top because it is less dense than water. Oil and water dont mix because water molecules are more attracted to each other than to oil molecules.
Some people are in oil and water relationships. They are not compatible. They never agree. Sex can bring partners together, but they are still separated. Love and bonding are not found in the relationship. They feel empty. What keeps them apart is stronger than what pulls them together. They paddle their canoe to different directions; the result is confusion and conflicting goals. If you are entering into a new relationship, dont overlook shared activities or values.
What is important in life to you may include your faith in God. If religion is important to you and the other person is unbeliever that can affect you negatively. If the differences are too vast in age, education, race, education, social and economic status you need to think about it carefully before you proceed. Ask yourself if both of you are comfortable with that.
There is nothing wrong to marry a person from another race or tribe, but you need to accept the person and his or her culture. If cleanliness and orderliness are essential to you, then ask yourself if you can live your entire life with someone whose lifestyle is contrary to that. If the age difference between you and your partner makes you uncomfortable why do you want to go ahead? Some couples have huge age differences but are in stable relationships.
There are others who have problems with that. A study conducted by Emory University in Atlanta showed that if the age difference is too wide the probability of that relationship ending is high. It means that similar age is the ideal. Consider what is important to you and see if your partner share those values before you get committed.
