Prayer is so good and important to us because it does a lot for us as Christians. In fact, adding fasting and praying in the spirit to it will also fast track some revelational knowledge and speedy answers, but it is eminent to always go extra mile when it comes to the matters of the heart.
Have you noticed that oftentimes people with suicidal tendencies usually feel there is nothing good about life to live for and have probably failed to release their wounds and pains? They may also feel that no one actually cares and the best option is to end it.
In the same vein, those that vowed never to embrace any sexual sin again eventually returns to their vomit because they refused to expose their weakness(es) and release the hurts.
My experiential knowledge in counseling & therapy has unveiled to me that most people that are emotionally injured and heartbroken wants to be listened to, cared for and craves more attention.
Meanwhile, their inability to release their burdens, regrets, disappointments and emotional pain leads to more damage and depression.
The truth is, God is also interested in our emotional health and He remains the healer but He has gifted some people in this field to be a blessing to you either through teaching, classes and practices when you are emotionally down.
So after praying and fasting about that crush, hurt, wound, sexual sin, etc., it is also crucial that you seek for help from a reliable counselor or therapist.
You do not need to keep the hurt to yourself, patch it up, and carry those wounds into a new relationship only to end up frustrating the son or daughter God has given you in marriage.
The matters of the heart needs more attention, stop toying with your heart!
While you pray, seek professional help too.
