One of the most important values one must learn in life is SELF CONTROL. How to take control of one’s gates, doors and windows. One must learn how to control their mind, what to think and what to feel, one must learn to control their mouth on what to say and what not to say.
Take control of what you think. Thinking negative only leads to a life of negativity. We are all a product of what we think. You have the power to become what you think. You have the power to achieve what you think.
Take control of your thoughts. Memories are like ships, they carry both the good and the bad, they bring diamonds and rust, take control of your thoughts else you might end up with rust.
One must learn to take control of what they see, if you let what you see control you, you might end up in a gutter. You must learn to take control of what you hear, else you might mistaken lies for the truth.
Take control of how you feel, a bad day is not a bad life. Sometimes, all you need to do is to take a deep breath and say to yourself “All is well”. Feelings are not facts, they can mislead you when you follow them or let them take actions for you. Take control of it.
You must take control of what you smell, not all that smell good tastes good. If you don’t take control of what you smell you might end up eating or inhaling something poisonous.
You must take control of your mouth, it is not everything you must say especially when you are angry. During such moments the mouth moves faster than the brain, you might end up as a killer. For Life and death is in the power of the tongue, self-control will help you choose life so you may live.
You must learn to take control of your heart, else you end up falling for your enemy, that is how you get killed. You must take control of what you touch, you might end up getting the burn of your life.
You must take control of your sexual organs, it is not every hole you enter, not every stick you welcome. You might end up destroying yourself. You must take control of your feet, watch your steps, where to go, else you might end up walking into a trap.
Don’t leave your mind, thoughts, feelings, heart, words, ears, eyes, nose, hands, feet, sexual organs, etc on autopilot for you will pay dearly for doing that.
Be a soldier of your life. Protect it, guard it. For your life depends on them. Your life is your total responsibility. You become a slave to the actions or decisions you take. No one will come to your rescue or save you from them.
You are free to do anything, say anything, go anyplace but you are not safe to do everything, say everything, go every place.
