There is nothing painful in a relationship as to be compared with your partner’s Ex. It hurts and it’s demoralising. Of course, letting go of the past is hard sometimes, but comparing your current partner to your Ex is atrocious.
Usually we all want our next relationship to be with somebody, a complete opposite of our Ex. Its normal, that’s part of life.
But love is not one way street- not everything happens same way. We can’t date different people and expect to be treated same way. We all have our unique ways of loving somebody.
While we should learn from our past relationships to enhance our new relationships, we should not compare one to another.
Comparisons only make our partners feel worthless and unappreciated. Allowing our partners to express themselves and love us the way they can, does not only make the relationship last longer, it also makes it unique.
The Ex is the past; live in the present. Stop comparing what you have to what is gone. Stop holding on to the past; move on. Lets learn to appreciate and accept our partner’s flaws. Enjoy love!
