When you look at marriage and relationships today, one of the causes for break ups or divorce is lack of trust or loss of trust. Once trust is broken in a relationship, it becomes hopeless and useless. Trust is so important that without it, there is no security and guarantee for the success of the relationship.
The cause for distrust sometimes starts at the beginning of the relationship, when people lie out of fear of losing the relationship or their partner. Because of rejection or acceptance, some people have had to lie.
There are relationships that start well but along the line, partners start lying to cover up their behaviours; this becomes harmful to the relationship. They end up destroying the trust that existed between the couple. Trust is at the heart of a relationship, without it there is no relationship.
To the singles thinking of marriage, praying for a spouse, searching for one, fasting or hijacking others for marriage; the best gift you can give yourself on your wedding day is an honest spouse. Honesty starts with you, you cannot live a life of lies or dishonesty and expect to end up with an honest person.
And once you meet someone in the name of a relationship who lied to you when they had the opportunity to tell the truth, they are simply telling you they are not an ideal person for you as a spouse. Your false thought of “I might not get someone else if I let you go” will make you marry someone who cannot stay married to you.
Don’t get married to a person who lied to you, because you love them. No matter how strong your feelings towards them are, it will die as soon as you lose trust in the marriage. If you want a safer marriage, you need to create that by dating an honest person.
