A woman asked her husband to help her bath their son while she does something else and the man refused.
When she complained to the man why he is not helping out in the house, the man told her that it is her work not his.
In other words, she told the woman that domestic chores are exclusively for her.
Few days ago I wrote, “When issues are going on, check the comments of your partner on social media. You will learn about their mentality.” I think it’s important I make an elaborate post on it so that people can be properly guided.
Knowing the views of the man or woman you want to marry on different issues of life is of paramount importance. It will save you from a lot problems in your life and marriage.
What Is A View?
According to Webster Dictionary, a view is an opinion or way of thinking about something. It is also a belief, conviction, feeling, judgment, notion, persuasion, sentiment, verdict, one has about something.
When it comes to different issues of life, we all have an opinion, a belief system, a conviction, verdict, judgment, feeling, persuasion etc.
Therefore, it is important to know the views of the man or woman you want to spend the rest of your life with to avoid issues.
The Bible says that two people cannot walk together except there is an agreement. You need to be sure your views and the views of your significant other are in agreement to avoid conflicts.
Some Areas You Need To Know What Your Partner Is Thinking
DOMESTIC CHORES
Know the views of the man you want to marry on domestic chores. Does he view it as the permanent duty of a woman or as a family project?
Managing the home is everyone’s business, does your man believes so or otherwise?
Discuss this with him. When there is a discus on the issue, observe him to know his stand. When you marry a man that views domestic chores as a woman’s duty, you will stress yourself out with work in the house.
Unless of course you want to handle everything in the house, but if not, then you need to discuss this to know what your partner thinks.
RAPE
Rape is an unlawful sexual activity and usually sexual intercourse carried out forcibly or under threat of injury against the will usually of a female or with a person who is beneath a certain age or incapable of valid consent.
In other words, rape is to have sex with someone against the will of the person either by force or by threatening the person.
What’s the view of your partner on rape. Does he blame the victim because she dressed half naked, walked in the dark or lonely place alone, or visiting the guy in his house instead of blaming the rapist?
You maybe dating a potential rapist or rape enabler. I am sure you don’t want to be raped.
MONEY
For some women, their money is their money but the money our their men is our money. Some women, no matter how much they have will never contribute anything to the upkeep of the house.
As a man you need to know about this unless of course you don’t mind footing all the bills in the house.
GENDER
Which gender does your man prefers, a male or female and why? You need to know what he thinks about gender. There are men that do not regard a female as a child.
One man abandoned his wife in the hospital because she kept giving birth to female children. Another man smashed the baby on the ground because it was a female. Some men even send their wives packing because of female children. Other men got married to second wives because they want to have male children.
Many women are being subjected to untold hardships because they gave birth to only female children. To save yourself from future problems, know the views of the person you want to marry on gender.
SUBMISSION
According to the Bible, man is the head of the woman. He is the head of the family. The leader of the house. Consequently, women are to submit WILLINGLY to the leadership of their OWN husband’s provided they your partner thinks about them. Things like tithe and offerings, going to church, helping others, third party, spiritual matters etc. There a whole lot of them that if I should write on them, it will be too long to read.
How Do You Know The Views Of Your Partner On different Issues?
Ask Questions
If you want to know what your partner thinks on any issue, one of the easiest ways to do that is to simply ask questions.
For instance, you want to know what your man thinks about domestic chores, you can simply ask, “Baby(or whatever pet name you call him), what do you think about domestic chores and running the home, do you think it is the duty of the woman only or as well as the man?” Then, wait for an answer.
One lady was discussing along this line with the guy that was seeking for her hand in marriage then and the guy told her that once they are married, he will not enter the kitchen again, that not after making the money he will also be helping out and that if the lady try nonsense with him, he will beat her up.
He doesn’t know that his own words have betrayed him. That was how the lady ran for her life. You too may also discover something that will make you to stop or continue with the relationship.
Be Observant
Sometimes people can sweet mouth. They can promise you heaven and earth. They will do this for you, they will do that but in their actions they’re saying something entirely different that’s why you need to be observant. You can learn so much from observation.
When issues are going on in the society, sit and watch your partner. See how they react to issues, check their comments on social media. You will learn about their views.
A lot of issues are gaining the front burner everyday. Sit and observe your partner. Check their comments on social media. Follow them, know what they like, know who they follow, read their posts. Discuss the issues with them. This another way to know whom you are dating. Don’t be ignorant. Be observant.
