Something can look so good but taste awful, something can smell so great but taste bad, that is why it’s dangerous for one to make decisions on marriage based on just looks or hearsay. Many marriages or relationships ended as a result of lies and deception, because people fell for looks instead of taste.
Many singles who approach you in the name of marriage are what one may term as Window dressing, a misleading presentation of an ideal spouse, purported fake personality just to create a favourable impression or wow the heart of someone. A great packaging but bad personality.
They hire people to say all the nice things about them, they look great, delicious, tempting, almost perfect yet when you get into a relationship with them, the outcome is so bad. We fail to prove why they are still single with all the great looks, when they first approach us. We don’t think twice before falling for them.
What use is a product with a great housing or body but a bad engine or faulty functionality? If you think he or she looks good, why don’t you have a taste of their personality before committing to them? You don’t just conclude on how he or she looks, or how cute you will be together or walk the aisle, but you should be concerned about how they taste, how sweet are they. You should be concerned about their character, how they treat you, how they handle you, how they deal with you. This has nothing to do with sex.
Before you say YES to them, ask yourself will you enjoy talking to them, will you enjoy living together, will you enjoy growing together, will you enjoy planning together, will you enjoy working together, will you enjoy building together, will you enjoy fighting together?
The answer to the questions lies in the taste of their personality and not how they look or smell, neither is it about what you heard about them. The answer is not in the likes or attractions or what they tell you. The answers can only be discovered when you become friends with them. That is how you enjoy doing things with them, that is how you get close to them, that is how you get to know their true intentions, motives and true colour.
This is why you should not be carried away by what friends and family tell you about a man or woman when you are single and looking for a spouse. Don’t fall for what you heard, fall for what you experienced with them, that is their taste. The look could just be what you hear about them or what you see about them from afar.
We enjoy relationships better due to the personality of the person and not how great they look. Looks can be very charming but personality is more attractive. How good is a marriage if husband and wife cannot enjoy the union or each other’s company?
Many at times, people don’t know that the way someone treats you has a lot to do with their personality. A good person will treat you good. A bad person will treat you bad. A good person will treat you good as he or she is, even if you are bad. Whilst a bad person will treat you bad as he or she is, even if you are good.
That is why bad people take advantage of good people, because they just don’t know how to treat them differently. Good people are sweet, they have a heart which is sweet and it is easy calling them sweetheart. It’s not the name that makes them sweet but their heart and personality.
This is the kind of a partner you enjoy when you are together and miss them so much when you are away from each other. Their presence and absence mean so much to their partner. They taste sweet.
