Behind every curse there is a cause. To every affliction in marriage, there is a root, and when the root is discovered and rooted out, and then there comes a refreshing. Six pretty ladies came to our office and they were crying bitterly for the experience of rape they were having. These ladies are from the same parent. She told me that they have prayed concerning the issue of rape, but it kept on happening to them even when they are married.
The rape issue nearly destroyed their marriages till the source was discovered. I told them that their father was the problem behind all the rape issues they were having starting from childhood till now they are married. They were confused at my statement. I told them that their father raped his fathers wife when he was a young guy. Deuteronomy 27:20 says, Cursed is anyone who has sexual intercourse with his fathers wife, for he has violated his father.
And all the people will reply, Amen. NLT
The father thought that nobody saw him, not knowing that the nemesis will be transferred to his six pretty daughters. The ladies went to the village to meet their father concerning what I said and the man confessed that it was true. A prayer was made and the curse was broken.
The same is true during President Reagans tenure in office, that the Americans had once maltreated the Red Indians, resulting in the Indians cursing the government of the day. From that time on, every twenty years, the American President in office was assassinated. American Christians went through history and discovered there was something wrong and they began to pray curse-breaking prayers.
And thats how President Reagan narrowly escaped being assassinated! It is believed that that curse was broken from that time. If it hadnt been discovered and broken, it would have continued.
This tell us very clearly that for every curse upon any marriage, there is a reason somewhere; which when discovered and properly handled, the person is on him or her way to liberty.
