Scripture Reading: Acts 23:11.
Dear beloved in Christ, I want to encourage you. Don’t be afraid. Take courage and do the next right things as God directs you. As the theme of our lesson today, Paul said to his friends in Ephesians ” Compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there” Acts (20:22-24). He said it when his is on his way to Jerusalem after third missionary journey that took him into Greece.
It seemed that in every town he went, some people wanted to kill him for what he was doing. Yet this did not deter Paul from testifying to the truth of the Gospel.
We receive pent of the times we had a chance to say something about the truth and said nothing. We regret the times we did speak but did not do so in a way that aided in communicating the truth in God’s love. While in custody the next night, our Lord Jesus Christ come to Paul to assure him that he still has work to do “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome, ” Our Lord Jesus Christ promised, “Surely I am with you always to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
Our Lord Jesus Christ had been with Paul throughout the highs and lows of his ministry.
Our Lord Jesus Christ goes with us when we speak His word. Wherever we go. He goes with us. Whenever we speak, He is there. No matter what, He is going to work it for good. He simply calls us to be faithful in sharing that glorious message of his Death and Resurrection, and know that He will get us through whatever else comes our way.
Child of God, take courage. And as you take courage, take the message that has been entrusted to you. The message that we have, is no important that we have share it, people’s souls are on the line. No matter the challenges, take courage in your testimony of truth Gospel. Indeed God will bless your good tidings and your efforts in all your challenges Amen
