“With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. 22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; 23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. 24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. 25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. 26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. 27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.” (Proverbs 7:21-27)
Churches have witnessed a lot of Christians who prophesy (including church leaders), but have been found to contain these weaknesses. Once I prayed with a Christian sister and in the process of her deliverance, it was revealed that she had sexual intercourse with some of the elders in church. And by the time she came round, I asked her if she had sex with so and so; and she was stunned and laid her hand over her mouth in amazement as a confirmation.
Sex Is Sweet But For Marriage Only; but when used outside the purpose of marriage, negative consequences become the results at last, thus causing many to lament. Theres this case that comes to mind now as I write. A middle aged man walked up to me many years back, and in the course of our discussion he said, Fornication was what brought me down. When I see a goat in skirt, I am ready.
It Begins With A Starter Course.
And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 39:8 But he refused, … 10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. 11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. 12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. (Genesis 39:7-12)
Sexual temptation is likened to a starter meal, either food or drink, (usually served before a meal or as the first course) which is meant to stimulate one’s appetite; like an appetiser, thus causing one to agitate for the real thing. It runs like an electric motor, and must never be without any control, otherwise it will result to marriage casualties.
For Joseph, he didn’t think twice before he rejected the starter course-his Madam’s seductive voice, and her romantic grip; but, this is not so for many people today, like the young man in the text above who fell into the sexual snare of the woman who had no regard for her marriage covenant. Hear what the bible says about how he became a victim: “With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. 22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; 23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.”
For the unmarried and those who engage in sex aside their marriage partners, the motor that runs in such persons is powered by “lust”, and not love. Whatever breaks the Word or commands of God, and make one or others sin against God is no love. Love is pure and can never be Satan’s property.
DAMAGES
Lusts, fornication and adultery are Satan’s vices. And anyone who has them must pay with high interest. And sometimes life and purpose could become completely too late to recover, when someone ignores all of God’s warning signals.
One time sex with a man or woman who is not that person’s wife or husband, leaves a part of the other person’s soul inside of each of them. And this is a rotten mess, an illegal marriage in the spirit. The bible uses the same “One flesh” to describe the marriage between a man and his wife, and the one who has sex with an opposite sex who are not married to each other (1 Cor. 6:16; Gen. 2:24).
Many have multiple soul ties, and are living with this abomination with their spouses. As a man could be sexually scorched, so also the woman. Many women as well as many men bear the scars of impropriety.
Because of Adultery! King David’s Household
King David, who was a giant killer, and though a man after God’s heart, didn’t escape the scorch of adultery either. Though God forgave him, but his posterity reaped the matured harvest of his sin with Bathsheba. His son Amnon who raped his virgin step-sister Tamar was eventually murdered by Absalom. Absalom, ended up sleeping with his father’s concubines-2 Sam. 16:22; Solomon, who was David’s son, the richest and wisest of all the kings before and after him, kept gathering women for sex until he had 1000 sexual partners (700 wives and 300 concubines-1Kings 11).
And at the end he lost his heart for God. God away 10 portions of Solomon’s kingdom to his servant, Jeroboam-1 Kings 11:31. In fact, God’s “SWORD” ravaged David’s generation as a fulfillment of prophecy of judgement-2 Sam. 12:10.
DESIST NOW!
The scripture warns: Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids. 26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life. 27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? (Proverbs 6:25-27 KJV); “Flee fornication.
Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.”-1 Corinthians 6:18
If you are caught up in this mess, child of God, don’t wait till you are wounded, hurt, and the scars begin to manifest for people to use in describing your story. If Joseph fled, then YOU MUST FLEE NOW! RUN BACK TO GOD.
